The Manchester Rough Guide is a component of the Rough Guide books. The task was to brand and create a guide to any city that Rough Guides hadn't covered enough.
I wanted to give the impression of looking through a window at Manchester, revealing some hidden treasures lying around the city. I wanted to show the parts of Manchester that a ‘typical’ tourist or even a person who lives in Manchester might not know of. I aimed to make this guide very minimal, but having feature pages throughout with more information. By printing on newspaper it allows the reader to simply fold the guide up and carry it without it being too heavy.
