Max vs. Everest

Feature Documentary: In Post-Production 'Max vs Everest' tells the incredible and inspirational true story of Max Stainton, the first man with Cerebral Palsy to trek to Everest Base Camp - on a horse. Born with a disability that severely affects his physical movement to the point that he needs 24/7 care, Max has always wanted to prove to society that he can achieve, just like the rest of us. Over the course of 2 years, Max and a small group of friends built a team that worked together to support Max in achieving his dream; to trek to Everest Base Camp on horseback. The film gives Max the platform to tell his story, inviting the audience in to understand his world as a disabled man, the everyday prejudice he has to face, and the battles he and his family have had to overcome in their 18 year battle for justice. With over 100 hours of unique Everest footage and intimate recordings of Max's early life, our aim is to create an engaging and entertaining film that challenges people's perception of disability across the world.
