Branding for a British wine producer.

Merstone is a British wine producer offering a range of sparkling and still wines. Based in the heart of the Bedfordshire, they produce natural, organic and biodynamic wines. Established in 2020, their mission is to change the perception of wine in England, with a sustainable approach.

The name of the brand comes from the history and the geology of the village of Marston Moretaine where the vineyard is located. The place name « Marston Moretaine » appears as Merestone in the Domesday Book in 1086. In 160 millions years ago, the village was surrounded by a small warm sea that explained the existence of ammonites and fossils which are today beautifully conserved.

These elements aid in the creation of an organic, authentic, glamorous branding. For the visual identity we wanted to emphasize the ammonite, which was found in the soil. The main palette is composed of neutral colours, which reinforce the vineyard terroir and sustainable approach.
