BRIEF Create a solution to aid those who suffer with food allergies, in response to the lack of information provided on food packaging. CONCEPT A food brand which clearly identifies each allergy category, encouraging people to get out of their comfort zone, without the fear of allergies. SOLUTION A Japanese streetfood brand, ‘OBI’ is named after the traditional japanese sash, worn with kimonos as a belt. The idea was to incorporate this into the packaging, creating an ‘obi’ to hold the packaging together. Each allergy category has a colour code and symbol which is easily recognisable.
