The OMBRO collection is derived from researching and studying the relationship between indoors and outdoors and focusing on what is interfering between them. The simple geometry of multiple layers and patterns, created by doors, shutters, and railings, are synthesising a natural and visual boundary between the inside and the outside when overlapping. OMBRO is a collection of side tables that builds on the visual game created when two perpendiculars, perforated surfaces overlap forming an illusion of movement, referring back to the pre-cinema technique of shadowgraph. OMBRO collection was selected and presented in the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition 2015, in London. It has also been previously exhibited in Designjunction during London Design Festival 2013, INDEX 2014 exhibition in Dubai and in DesignLab in Athens. The collection has been included in various trend forecasting publications and reports for its distinctive characteristics and innovative use of simple visual properties.
