This RSA Student Design Awards submission was all about bringing healthy habits to areas where people are more inclined to drive. The angle this project took was targeting people living in rural towns, villages and small cities to walk to work instead of driving. This scheme promoted that if you walk to or from work for 1 hour each day can earn you an hour back of your time from work on a friday afternoon. This scheme reduces the cost on the NHS whilst improving employees mental and physical health. The money the government would then not spend on the NHS could go towards giving the companies a 1% tax break on the national insurance for that employee. The bold design takes inspiration from contemporary design, being made for print and online through social media and a website. The posters would generally be seen in places along a journey for those who are not currently walking (e.g. main roads etc.). The illustrations on the images encourage flow and movement whilst also being eye catching.
