Ozwald Boateng Windowdisplay

  • Sander Gee

We contacted British tailor Ozwald Boateng to propose a new idea for his window display after we noticed it hadn’t been changed in over 6 months. After we presented 3 ideas he asked us when we could get it done because he had an event coming up in 5 days. We went to a DIY shop to assess costs and get approval before we started working from home. Inspired by the garments themselves, I used matching colored threads of yarn in the concept to tie in with the new suits. Because we still had our daytime jobs, everything had to be made after hours. There was no time for trial and error, all we could do was go for it and create! To beat the deadline we had two friends to assist us with the installment, leaving £50 each over from the budget. All worth it, because we had fun through a creative outlet and a happy client, too.
