Pennsylvania Health Access Network (PHAN) is a coalition working to improve the quality and accessibility of Pennsylvania health coverage options. PHAN was struggling to communicate with their stakeholders because the organisation’s website offered a wealth of information but lacked cohesion and a strong visual presence. Plus, they needed a logo that was easier to use across multiple communication channels, while effectively representing a consumer movement.
The PHAN logo, which felt unbalanced and was hard to use was simplified to their acronym and placing a keyhole in the “A” to represent the doorway to health coverage that PHAN provides.
For the website, the navigation on the homepage was steamlined with three buttons for their primary audiences: advocates, policy leaders, and healthcare consumers.
