The Community Hub Handbook is designed to fill a gap in practical guidance, help people avoid pitfalls and ensure those running community hubs have access to the best information available. Commissioning Locality to write this handbook, based on their knowledge of supporting community hubs and on a report that Local Trust and Power to Change commissioned in 2019 “Community Hubs: understanding survival and success”. The intention was to create a practical resource for those running community hubs. Packed with information, case studies, checklists, templates and practical tools, The Community Hub Handbook is a free resource that sets out how to run a thriving community hub and ensure its future is secure. Covering a wide range of business essentials such as building relationships, acquiring premises, securing sustainable income, marketing, staffing, and governance.
