Re-Gro

Babies born in refugee camps are dying from hypothermia, something which is preventable. The majority of a baby’s body heat is lost through it’s head and a hat is a good way of preventing heat loss from happening. In the UK, 300,000 tonnes of clothing went to landfill in 2016. Along with this, children can grow up to 7 clothing sizes in their first 2 years, a process which produces a lot of clothes. This led me to create Re-Gro which upcycles old baby clothes into hats for babies in refugee camps. Re-Gro aims to provide hope for families in refugee camps and to negate the impact of fast fashion on the planet.
