Working to implement and expand a new design system and visual identity. My predominant focus for this project was on the registration and subscription workflows whilst ensuring the user needs of the platform were balanced alongside technical feasibility and requirements - taking the site to beta and beyond for launch.

I became the interim lead for this project, serving as the agency’s in-house design liaison, advocate for accessibility and brand, whilst working to recruit a team that would ultimately be able to manage the platform moving forward beyond the initial BETA release in Q3/4 2020.

As we built out the team, we grew a comprehensive design system using Sketch and Abstract. Taking the big ideas presented by the agency and distilling into manageable user journeys and granular component libraries. We followed design sprints in order to achieve goals for a BETA release whilst ensuring consistency as the designs scaled and adapted for a larger launch; ensuring user needs were designed for, feedback loops considered and business requirements met.

My personal project areas of ownership focused on BETA registration, the introduction of a metered article paywall, user & corporate subscriptions and their respective onboarding journeys, as well as the consolidation of multiple existing communication streams into a new, flagship newsletter.
