Romeo and Juliet

  • Eloise Harvey
In this project I took imagery from the 1996 Baz Luhrman Romeo and Juliet film and transferred the imagery in to a fabric collection using processes such as, CAD embroidery, hand embroidery, laser cut, printing and manipulation. I aimed to create a lively collection of fashion fabrics that reflect such exciting scenery and transforms traditional designs in to a modern perspective. I used a variety of materials that are both structured and flowing like the digital prints on the front of this postcard which worked well with the techniques and combined a romantic style with a more futuristic, innovative one
