Set in Stone

  • Igor Kijko

I created an editorial using typography to convey the narrative of impermanent structures, focusing on how they fill space during the before, middle, and after stages of construction. I wanted to challenge myself and use solely typography in this project, pushing it to its limits. As you move along through the editorial, the type imagery and body of text on the spreads becomes more and more structured, representing the building process of a building. It also features a series of acetate pages that come together to form a building structure on the third spread. The reader themself can move the acetate along to remove or add parts of the building together.
