Smart Start Health app

Series of commissioned illustrations for SmartStart Health. It is developing SmartStart CGM, a patient education app to make it easier to use life-changing continuous glucose monitoring technology. Illustrations bring a genuine human touch to the SmartStart app, providing an element of ease and comfort as well as a sense of fun for the user. It was important to bring a genuine human touch to the SmartStart app, people with diabetes have always had to deal with lots of messy written notations, generic stock images and scientific jargon whenever dealing with education surrounding the condition. Illustrations were art directed by Creative Lead Fernanda Marth and SmartStart Health CEO Melissa Holloway.
