Strange Encounters

Seeing is believing they say. Well I couldn't believe it , all these tropical animals just there, walking around. I read in the New York Times that because of climate change animals where behaving strangely and migrating to other parts of the continent. It felt strangely familiar all these tropical animals apart from the local fauna. It felt like I was back home in Caracas. It was sadly magnificent, like the calm before the storm. Three months of preapocalyptic beauty.

So this was walking on Broadway with Stuyvesant. I was like whatttt a Toucan. I have always been fascinated by Toucans. They just look so nice, but careful they are not docile animals. They can definitely take care of themselves. We had a Toucan at my house when I was growing up (terrible I now know) but I use to sit sometimes and just look at it. Beautiful birds. I tried to give this one some papaia but it looked at me funny so I kept walking. Song by Alex Malheiros “Papaia”.
Bird buddies somemewhere on Broadway, BK. Can’t really remember where it is. Flamingos are birds that seek out buddies they get along with and avoid animals that they dislike. They tend to form long lasting and loyal friendships.
We went for our morning coffee ( don’t quite remember where this is either, somewhere in Williamsburg) and we found this cockatoo just jaming to Teddy’s song. Just managed to take this video before we got our coffee to go, nowhere in particular, but always to go. The lady just looks away like she doesn’t want to make eye contact. I liked the coffee btw! ☕️ Teddy Pendergrass “Believe In Love”.
It wasn’t singing to me, but to the lady standing next to me that had picked it up from the middle of the street and put it there. Mesmerizing.
Saw this little guy and I thought he was dancing. Then realized he was doing a mating dance. Suddenly he became this Miyasaki spirit god... I was like whaaat?!!...That said, I didn’t see any females around, just him feeling the song that was comming out of a car parked at the Dunking .
I Shazamed the song and it was “Love So Deep” by Tony Lee. So maybe he was looking for a female companion, because that tune is for lovers.
This was a strange encounter. I tried to film it all but it told mecto put the camera away. There were some guys looking at me so my instinct told me to go. So I kept walking. But I can’t stop thinking about what it said to me. Son by Nick Hakim “Qadir”.
