The Many Faces Of Frankenstein

  • Rosie Hobbs

The contents of this book explores the visual aspects of a monster. Using Frankenstein as the focal point, it demonstrates the change in character design throughout history, from what we know from the original book, to what we see on our TV screens. It includes a time-line that exhibits the changes of design through time, showing key aspects of importance through different media. There's a focus on costume and make-up design, pointing out why each design choice impacts the next. This project brought a new understanding of book design and how we can relay such information in an interesting way, while still maintaining the importance of character design.
