You're invited to the VOWSS SHOWCASE 2018 screening on April 26th, 4-6pm at the Rich Mix, London. The winners will be announced on June 18th, in Cannes at Cinema Les Arcades 4-6pm.
The VOWSS is a platform to showcase the best of this year’s work from women Directors and Creative Directors around the world; featuring short film, branded content and advertising. It's an opportunity for creative women to come together and get inspired by influential and brave new works.
The VOWSS was founded by SheSays and The Voice Of A Woman jointly; and it’s steered by an illustrious group of women, from the film, art, advertising and communications communities. Many Thanks to D&AD and our partner, Mr. President.
WHY:
Every year SheSays represents women’s voices around the world and to the creative industry. But there’s more to senior women’s voices than talking about women in the industry or the way they are represented in advertising. And for all the great work we do to inspire, teach and mentor young creative women around the festival there’s still more we can do.
We’re done just talking, now we want to show off the great creative work we make too. Because we believe that women need to be seen as creative superstars as much as agents of change.
WHAT:
The VOWSS screens a selection of the best short films – commercials, branded content, dramas, documentaries, art/experimental-films and music-videos, created by women internationally.
This yearly screening appears at key festivals around the world.
Film screenings will be followed by live interviews and panel discussions. and The VOWSS closes with an award given for the best work of a director and creative director.
