About me
Aspiring Creative. My core strengths lie within the fields of Brand and Visual Identity. I believe Graphic Design serves as the perfect creative outlet to investigate music, culture, general curiosities, and socially/politically driven inquiries and contexts. As a concept-led designer, I aim for a multi-disciplinary approach throughout my practice, drawing inspiration from relevant contexts. However, I have a preference for printed and physical outcomes. Based in Mirfield - Leeds, UK. 22. Email - ameleak@live.com

Tales of Love and Sadness From The Brothel of The MindTales of Love and Sadness is a book of poems exploring themes of love and loss. Killian Winpenny describes his inspirations as the ‘heavy-drinkers of life.’ When asked of the reactions he seeks from readers, Killian stated ‘I am not looking for any reaction, I am simply trying to communicate. I want people to relate not react.’ This mentality has influenced the design of the book. The design of the poetry book relies on structure and rhythm by following the fast stream of consciousness apparent

This is the quote that informs all imagery created. This project was made in collaboration with Billie Sprong and Lucy Barraclough. Our collaboratio
  • New Weird America
New Weird AmericaIn an article investigating the 'New Weird America' micro-genre, Niels Van Poecke states it ‘seeks to create alternate spaces for hope and desire’. The writer also discusses the music genres tendency to romanticise. This project involved the creation of a visual identity and a playlist that represents the micro-genre. In response to Poecke's analysis, the design proposes ‘light’ as a symbol of the genre. Light, and the light bulb, serve several songs on the New Weird America playlist when repr

A Quick Guide To Understanding Hand Gestures is a digital publication that contextualises the theoretical framework of David McNeill against a selection of news announcements/speeches regarding COVID-19 lockdown and social distancing. To analyse and investigate this framework, a range of politicians were selected from across the globe.
