Any under-represented creative freelancers with a portfolio to share? Looking to broaden my network
People message me every so often asking for recommendations for freelancers. And, like many creative directors, I struggle with the truth that my network is pretty homogenous in its make-up. If you feel you're under-represented in the advertising/marketing industry, and you're a copywriter, designer, DOP, film director, photographer, animator, art director, creative director, or hoping to be one of those things, please feel free to send over a link to your portfolio or to just say hi at hello@studiogomori.com /comment/DM whatever you're comfortable with - I'd love to broaden my network and play any small part in diversifying our industry.
I'm very aware that this kind of post alone isn't all someone in my position needs to do to take action on diversity and inclusion. I hope that everyone in the industry can try different things and do their bit. My parents were refugees so it's important to me to try.
