We’re working on an exciting project to spotlight creative entrepreneurs/founders who have a positive impact. Any speaker recommendations?

We’ll be announcing an exciting event series early next year, which involves spotlighting creative entrepreneurs & founders who are having a positive impact on the world.

I’d love to hear who you think would be great speakers for the events, ideally UK based & their business is in the creative industries (it could be a services business like an agency, or a business that sells products).

Pop your suggestions below. THANK YOU

  • Most definitely and absolutely - NOTPLA.

A new simple food container that is made from 100% natural seaweed. Once finished, the whole package can be composted and disappears without a trace—just like a fruit peel.

Endorsed by Prince William himself, NOTPLA is Earthshot prize winning startup that has continued to scale rapidly. I have self tried the packaging and it's incredible!

    Speak to Pierre-Yves Paslier.

  • Jo Barnard, founder of Morrama (Bcorp) - 'Designing for a better world'. Very comfortable with public speaking.

Would love to speak more on this if you're interested. Thanks, Anna
  • @Shemaiah Gold would be perfect for this‼️‼️
She runs several businesses and has a thriving artist network
  • I’d like to think that I fit into that category. So I’ll throw my own name and organisation into the ring.

I run (Fashion) Minority Report which focuses on supporting underrepresented communities to get into the fashion industry and creative sector.
  • Hi! I’m Angela Igbinovia, i run a weekly newsletter named Harvest Digest. Our motto is: “Raising life-givers, remembering forgotten seeds.” Essentially, we create ‘digestible’ content to build our community’s character and get them to practically make something out of what we give. Part of the vision involves short bi-weekly interviews (in a menu format: starter, main and dessert) with creative changemakers to inspire people interested in pursuing similar routes in life. We’ve interviews makeup artists, magazine founders and more. Here’s our IG to know more:

  • @Isaiah Isaacs this also ties in with Running a Record Label which is one of the income streams that could be created from taking on a project like this.
  • I would be happy to do a talk as I have just completed a 16 track album called Finding Faith. It would be more focused on the philosophy of self releasing an album and how to get it heard. This comes after learning how to sort out publishing, admin via a digital aggregator, finding Collaborators, etc. This would be useful as I have also been asked to talk about the Music industry for a careers fair at my old school.
  • Carl Anthony Brown founder of Crossip - he has a super interesting background in fitness / sport and hospitality / drinks industry.

  • Hi Pip, I would love to be considered! Earlier this year, I spoke for the IDSA (Industrial Designers Society of America) and for the UK Gov for Design Systems Day.

My twin sister and I are two young women in our 20s who grew up in a low socio-economic area with no business experience. Our story shares a down-to-earth, real perspective of starting a creative studio (from scratch) with no frills, bells or whistles.

Moving forward, we will continue to campaign for creativity and entrepreneurship, demonstrating there are options for young people and start-ups.
