The Garage Soho is an early stage investor and brand builder. We invest £100K - £500K into companies pre-series A with a focus on technology enabled consumer brands. We work closely with portfolio companies on their brand strategy, creative and media partnerships from the outset and throughout their journey to exit. The Garage is the coming together of creative and capital. Sir John Hegarty and a leading team from the global advertising agency BBH have teamed up with Tom Teichman and his team from Spark Ventures to create a unique proposition for high growth start-ups. Sir John Hegarty was the Creative Founder of BBH, following their first ad for Levis they coined the term ‘when the world zigs, zag.’ They have continued to zag, making their name as a champion of creativity with countless award-winning pieces of work and seven international offices employing over 1000 people worldwide. Notable brands they’ve helped to build include Audi (“Vorsprung durch Technik"), Lynx (“The Lynx Effect”) and Johnnie Walker (“Keep Walking”). In 2012 BBH was sold to Publicis group. SPARK was set up by Tom Teichman and later floated on AIM as New Media SPARK plc. The SPARK management team brings its exceptional track-record and expertise in early-stage investing and its network within the digital media sectors.
