I was commissioned to design and build a piano with 3 extra octaves, 1 added to the the bottom, and 2 added to the top. The extra octaves triggered MIDI and could control a synthesiser or a VST on a computer. The idea behind the piano was to build a complete instrument that was visually captivating, and also that blended the acoustic with the endless potentials of digital sound. I have included the images of the build because it was a very interesting and intuitive process. The piano has been displayed in Amsterdam and London.
