Auerbach & Steele – branding

A new identity to coincide with a new optical store – appealing to both long-established and newer customers. The identity is a playful take on the science of colour. We split white and black ampersands into component colours and recombined using contrast and overlays. All work and images completed at ©Holmes Studio.

Colour rationale
The two versions of the mark reflected print and screen colour processes. Dark backgrounds are RGB and light backgrounds are CMY.
Website
The navigation was based around the idea of a department store, using a simplified version of the new building. Each section of the site was assigned a specific floor. See the site here.
