Badges (Gamification) on PopJam

I was tasked to help achieve the goal of gamifying PopJam - a safe social platform for kids. A solution we explored was to create Badge achievements, where users would be expected to perform a small task on the app (e.g. creating a post) which would then unlock a Badge for their collection. My responsibilities on this project included ideation, strategy and illustration. I collaborated with a team on this project including developers and another designer who also created Badges (which are not included here).

These are the Badges I designed for our Winter pack (unlocked and locked states). These Badges could be unlocked as part of a PopJam Advent Calendar.
This project was made in collaboration with the Product team, Content team for ideas and another Product Designer who also designed Badges which are not featured on here.
These are the Badges I designed for our Halloween pack (unlocked and locked states). The first 5 Badges could be unlocked when you discover a text-based spell by typing the spell in the comments. The last Badge was awarded to the Daily Challenge winner on Halloween.
