Flash fiction are stories of extreme brevity that still offer character and plot development. Copywriting for advertising demands a lot of the same skills as writing flash fiction. Bare Bones was established as a place to practice the discipline of simplicity both forms of writing thrive from.
Once a month a 150 word writing brief will be set. A word count that echos the length of your average TVC or radio spot. Writers will have a week to craft it and get it uploaded to a google doc - there's a link on the challenge page.
The following week, the writers will come together and discuss the work uploaded. You're welcome to join the discussion, even if you didn't post anything.
