Causing a Buzz is an initiative to help raise awareness of how important bees are to the environment and their decline in our countrysides. One of the primary focuses was to highlight how our food source will be affected if bees continue to die out. The brief was to create a website, emails and business cards, as well as branding for the core campaign.

I created the logo based upon the hexagon shape, which interlocks together to give a stronger structure; this suggests teamwork. By working together to serve the queen, look after the young and gather pollen, without this support network, the lone bee cannot survive.
I opted for a softer, more organic look and feel by using the colours purple, yellow, green, and pink. These colours are reminiscent of their natural surroundings and hints at the importance of preserving the environment.

The user journey was important for each user, so they could find what they wanted with ease. Therefore a sitemap and wireframes were done before any design decisions were made to ensure maximum efficiency.
Emails were designed to inform, generate donations and drive users to the website. The website has been created with easily digestible modules which can be taken and converted into an email format. Several elements have been designed to support and lift the brand, from using the hexagon shape as an image treatment to using flight paths to draw attention.
