Cookbook: Dinner at Somizi'z - I am not a Chef

Excited to announce that a cookbook I designed, creatively directed and consulted for in 2020: Dinner at Somizi's - I am not a chef, is the top selling cookbook in South Africa, outranking other international titles from the likes of Jamie Oliver and Otto Lenghi. 'Dinner at Somizi's' is full of inviting warm colours, authentic recipes - all cooked by Somizi himself - and a beautiful array of portrait photography. The book was vibrantly photographed by the Somizi Cookbook production team, with Chef Nti curating and nurturing the recipe aesthetic under leadership from Somizi. From a design perspective, it was important to encapsulate all that is Somizi - not only one facet of his multi-talented career - but to understand that the reader is being invited into his home and to sit at his dinner table. One of the many things I love about what I do, is how many new people I get to know or things I learn when I'm fully immersed in a project - an imperative when working with any brand - but so rewarding!
