Glove maker to the Queen throughout her reign and the absolute go-to for the world's top fashion stylists, Cornelia James needed to make the brand experience more accessible to new audiences and markets as it ventured into retail concessions and popups. Rather than stretch the core glove brand, it was evolved and repositioned as the epitome of the exceptional occasion, creating space for a new diffusion brand – Cornelia by Cornelia James – for accessories to make an occasion of every day. A first step was working with Joan Quirós (https://www.joanquiros.com/), who's brilliant calligraphy evolved the tired, derivative identity, restoring some of the authenticity of the original brand signature.
