Custom Dalston

Trend and Fayre came to FLOOR_STORY for a bespoke rug design. While working as a creative assistant at FLOOR_STORY, I was tasked with interpreting the original design and translating it to fit the brief provided by Trend and Fayre. The original flat weave rug design had to be transferred into a larger, hand tufted rug. The new design uses mainly wool (for the cream background) with silk - to catch more light within the darker colours. An intentional abrash weaving method was used to create the texture on the dark lines.
