Calligraphy is a very standardized practice, with the aim to create consistant letterforms, which is the base for most typeface design. I wanted to break free from these restraints and use unconventional tools to create new, expressive calligraphy, which could be then brought into a digital space. I wanted to make this accessable to others to both learn from my experiments, but also give them an opportunity to experiment themselves and discover new and interesting ways to create letterforms.
