Interactive Installation - Responsive Iris & Eye Mechanism

The Panopticon is a responsive mechanical eye with iris. The project integrates machine elements with simple feedback control systems, in which a variety of sensors and actuators are connected to Arduino and Raspberry Pi. One of the aims of the project was to familiarise ourselves with electronic prototyping platforms and to adapt ourselves to new programming languages in a short amount of time. Duration of time from ideation to creation was 4 weeks, alongside other projects.
