M&C Saatchi Open House Course

Participating in a global online training course led by M&C Saatchi key speakers sharing specialist knowledge and experience.

WEEK 1 - INTRODUCTION

Camilla Kemp, CEO, was joined by two Open House new hires – Tariro Madzingira, Trainee Account Manager, and Hannah Thomson, Strategist and shared their experience; the power of creativity, an overview of the communications industry and the roles and specialisms within and why it’s a job like no other.

WEEK 2 - BRAND STRATEGY
Sophie Lean, Head of Strategy, and Katie Marks, Associate Strategy Director taught the fundamentals of connecting brands with people, how to get your brand fit for purpose and develop a behaviour change strategy.

WEEK 3 - DATA & PERFORMANCE
Frisco Chau, Chief Data Officer, and Lavinea Morris, Director of Performance Media, spoke about data fluency, turning data into insight and ensuring brand communications are seen by the right people, at the right time, in the right way.

WEEK 4 - CREATIVE
Ben Golik, Chief Creative Officer, shared their experience of working in a team to come up with and craft amazing ideas that transform brands, how to turn your strategic and creative story into an irresistible narrative for presentation.
WEEK 5 – MAKING THINGS
Niall Wilson, Head of M&KE, and Gareth Williams, Film Producer, spoke about how ideas are made and brought to life across different channels, including smart uses of technology to create new customer experiences.



WEEK 6 – PR THE ART OF CONVERSATION
Steve Kirk, Head of Consumer PR, and Sophie Bannister, Head of PR Creative Development, demonste the art of conversation, the power of earned media and how to have meaningful conversations through editorial and social to influence the power of your brand



WEEK 7 – PASSION MARKETING
Rich Barker and Dakota Branch-Smith from Sport & Entertainment explained how brands can use the power of consumer passions (sport, music, gaming) to build meaningful connections and conversations with their audiences, through channels such as Influencers, PR, content and experiences.


WEEK 8 – HOW ADVERTISING CAN CHANGE THE WORLD
Katie Gilbert and Sarah Covill talked about communications for social and global change and how advertising really can change the world. 
The programme is CPD accredited and provides the opportunity being shortlisted for a future role at M&C Saatchi.
