At the end of every year It's Nice That take a look back at what happened in the creative industry and reflect on the key events that occurred. This project is aptly named Review of the Year.
In 2017 we teamed up with Google Design to create a series of commissioned articles which featured designers, photographers, artists and illustrators from all over the world. Our aim was to create a global perspective on current issues and highlight the work which truly made an impact. We also had some seriously solid “life advice” from Kyle Platts, which may or may not change the way you live.
To support the project, we created a social campaign we asked our community "what one word best describes your year” and challenged them to incorporate the word into some form of design, photograph or illustration. The result was a large collection of carefully considered, beautifully designed images.
To kick start the campaign, we asked Braulio Amado and Sara Andreasson to create a design which answered the brief. Incorporating all paid and organic social activity, this project became It’s Nice That’s highest reaching social campaign to date.
