Surrealism: a virtual trend
The project purpose was to conceive a mid or long-term trend relating to culture, society and fashion. This trend forecast ended in trend book, including a practical trend development potentially applicable to an existing brand.
Surrealism talks about virtual world and how its influence is changing fashion. Our team imagined that in the future society will accept totally virtual space, as a way to be whatever we want to be in wherever place, leaving the reality we know to live another life, a digital one.
The present is on a display: a virus who is damaging reality is showing us a life of augmented experience
Mood, color palette, materials, textiles, target was inspired by a digital aesthetic: glitch, neon color, playful and surreal elements.
The selected brand was Maiko Takeda, who is a milliner and jewellery designer. Her interest lies in creating ethereal adornments to the body. The team designed a product for the brand and planned a communication strategy including launch and advertising campaing (event, key visuals, social media campaing and video teaser).
