The Circular Meme: A book that combines two subjects; biomimicry + graphic design, using abstracted principles of how nature designs. The internet provides an endless ocean of inspiration for creativity, while also being a limitless playground to implement these ideas, one of them being the meme phenomenon. Wherein, an element of culture or system of behaviour, is passed from one source to another by imitation. Something that resonates quite close to the process of design, specially biomimicry.
This book aims to raise awareness and to remind the designer in this age, to adapt to the process of looking at nature for inspiration, our foremost mentor in design.
The structure of this book is inspired by the batwing design that opens and closes in a swift accordion motion. Once open, the book holds its sturcture with the help of magnets attached on the front and back covers.
