The Lost Sock Project

(June 2019) The Lost Sock Project was a mini pop up event asking anyone who has lost a sock, to adopt a new odd sock. The project started with addresses the shared experience of losing a sock and subsequently, losing it's value without its identical pair. Using the everyday problem of the odd sock, I wanted to encourage a new way of approaching fashion, or more so the way we present and express ourselves through clothes. I wanted to explore how repurposing waste might influence the way we express ourselves in the future, and what that might mean for our identity. The pop up event was held for only 2 days and had a quick turn around given the circumstances of a university fair.
