X-mas by Coca-Cola

  • Aurora Montes

Since 1906, there had only been eleven White Christmases in Belgium, so Coca-Cola decided to bring the snow to Brussels in a joyful outdoor action. Directed by Jan Boon and produced with a budget of 18K in Brussels. Some anecdotes: Not until 2 days before shooting we tested the gigantic bottle and the snow didn't spread enough so I had to rent all the fake snow machines available in Belgium. The Snowglobe replica was built by hand by me with the help of Simon Van Laar the night before as all the other 4 we had broke due to temperature changes (indoor/outdoor). We tested 3 solutions for making the snowglobe, and one of them had a small replica bottle that was 3D printed in Madrid, hand painted in Zaragoza and delivered in Brussels in 24 hours.
