I've been working in the Design industry for almost 12 years now, starting out at a prestigious design agency in Chelsea and now heading up the Design team at at Comic Relief, delivering their national campaigns - Red Nose Day and Sport Relief.Locked Pro Plan feature
Head up the design team and responsible for the design of Comic Relief’s brand and national campaigns - Red Nose Day and Sport Relief. I manage a team of designers, performing line-management duties as well as leading the team creatively. I balance overseeing the Design team’s output whilst empowering them to ensure that business and user requirements are met whist delivering exemplary designs. Have overall responsibility for all production design and UX completed by the Design team and for providing the creative and strategic direction to the wider creative team and rest of the business. Previously Head of Digital Design and played a key role in helping the Digital team move into a in a more Agile / Lean UX way of working, and focused on putting the user at the heart of everything we do. Now still working closely with Digital team and other teams to provide fully integrated campaigns.
Started as a work placement and seen the webteam grow from just me, to a small team of designers and developers. I've worked on integrated campaigns of various scales for clients such as Dorset Cereals, Yeo Valley, Tyrrells, Gü, Clipper teas, Bighams, Belvoir Cordials and many successful start-ups and ‘restorations’ clients, including brands like Biscuiteers and sofa.com. I was also involved with a lot of photographic tasks and produced lots of quality studio imagery and documented events such as the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. I’ve also done and lot of film and animation projects from cooking videos to animated screensavers.
