  • @Nicola Humphreys it worked for me! I wanted to send a screenshot to show you, but it says the feature is coming soon. Anyways after activating 2 codes, under “my plans” it now says: “Next payment is scheduled for Aug 24, 2022.”
  • @Julie Featherstone There are other placces to learn various subjects other than linked-in. It's very expensive that platform.
  • Thank you so much everyone for your great suggestion I got in touch with Adobe online and after explaining my sitation they gave me a great deal with 3 months free harayyyy!
  • Like others have mentioned the Affinity Suite is pretty good. It's compressive and a great Adobe competitor, obviously it doesn't have the years of being on the market like Adobe but it's certsinly able to take on Adobe in what it offers. There are 3 apps in the suite Designer, Photo and Publisher, so you have an alternatI've to Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, each individually priced are around £35 (not sure on current cost so may differ slightly) but the best bit is that omce you've downloadsd there's no subscription which is a big win for me and I imagine lots others. the updates are all free too so it's pretty good value. Now I'm just hoping they make a centralised Adobe Cloud type feature So everything is in sync more, and add to the series by making an animation and after effects competitor. All the best
  • I know it looks too good to be true but I reacently found out from some friends about this. They purchased some codes and eventually so did I. Purchased 2 codes from this website for around £170. I activated them at redeem.adobe.com and now my Adobe account says the next payment is in August 2022.
The website I am talking about is https://software-codes.com/collections/top-sale/products/adobe-creative-cloud-subscription-12-months
You can apparently reddem up to two codes per account.

I am gaining nothing from this. Someone I know even contacted Adobe about this and after getting a green light he got some licenses for his company. Yes the price is so low that it seems shady but it worked great for me, and other people I know.
  • I can recomend Affinity and the Corel programs. I opted out of Adobe when they started charging every month, and haven't looked back
  • There are some great software that’s a one off affordable payment such as award wining design software ware called affinity, they work across Mac and ipad. There is affinity photo which is like photoshop and designer that’s vector and publisher like indesign. Honestly very affordable and wonderful to use
  • Hi Sarah, it might be worth looking at Sketch or Figma to see if they could work as a replacement for Illustrator / Photoshop. They have different payment packages - you'll have to cross check if they're relevant for what you do though and if they're any cheaper. I'd also be tempted to chat to their support teams to see if they can help at all.
  • @Sarah Hay Couldnt agree more-and dont get me started on the big loss of linked in learning, access to campaign magazine- loads of things I took for granted when full time employed!!!

    Good luck x
  • Thank you everyone for your replies very grateful for your help. I will contact Adobe and let you know how I get on.
They should release a redudancy package where the more you work on your portfolio the longer you get to keep the account for.
  • I know Adobe were giving 3 months free during the early days of the lockdown -worth messaging them (I was in same situation as you but had won a year of it through a type thing last year-thank goodness- and they added 3 months free to that on top because of the lockdown)-they seem pretty fair so always worth asking them online - good luck!
  • @Wendy Wong Not a bad shout, and the more software you use the better for the creative but unfortunately you are correct, Adobe is industry standard so anything you can do to stick to Adobe is definitely worthwhile.
  • @Peter Bottomley Great shout, this is a good way of keeping cossts down.
  • @Kane Davis I have also heard this.
Having a word with their online help team can apparantly get u a cheaper deal :)
  • As far as I'm aware, Adobe offers use on two machines per subscription, meaning that you could share an account with a friend / family member and split the cost.
  • Alternatively you could switch to Affinity software.
I'm in the same boat job/adobe CC wise, so have been looking at cheaper alternatives. Seems the next best thing, that said it isn't recognised too much in the industry so having some up to date Adobe knowledge is needed for now!
  • @Ramon Blake Guthrie Thank you for your response I use Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop :)
  • Others have said this but I would recomend using the free trails as that should give you 30 days so will tied you over for a month at least.

Speaking to Adobe is a great idea too, just to find out if they can do anything for you, and something that works for you.
