We design, we draw, and we make stuff. We love making things for ourselves but we also love making stuff for other people. Rude are illustrators and designers whose passion is to create and apply their bespoke imagery to products. Rude was started about 15 years ago by husband and wife team Abi & Rupert Meats. Initially a t-shirt label that quickly grew into a exciting street brand. Selling to shops worldwide with agents in Japan and the US. Utilizing a passion for screen printing and a simple starting point of hand drawn illustration onto t-shirts. Rude has evolved into a image making collective working on projects for The Tate, The Guardian, Nokia and many more. Over the years they have produced countless clothing collections with numerous catalogues, screen prints, commissioned projects and Pop Up shops. Rupert specializes in hand drawn illustration, t-shirt prints & original artwork and works closely with their agent Blunt on illustration commissions. While in the studio Abi is responsible for the animation, moving image and design work. Clients include Vogue, Renault, No Added Sugar, PJ Smoothie, Polydor Records, BMI, Capital Radio and Island Records.
