Against Functionalism

For my Against Functionalism Book Design project, it was all based on a manifesto by Asger Jorn. As the title of the book included the keywords "Against Function", I decided to go against the normal functions of a book, including grid systems. I visually made the page designs really dynamic but consistent throughout the book by including a different range of shapes, lines and a variety of unique emphasis on hierarchy and white space. When designing the dust jacket, I did the screen printing technique as there is a very lovely printing texture on the paint which I believe portrays a strong emphasis in the relationship between paper and paint.
