Bombay Sapphire: CANVAS

We helped Bombay Sapphire launch the CANVAS campaign at Electric Picnic 2019; their first festival activation globally. We invited festivalgoers to unleash their inner artist in the CANVAS area, where a journey of creation saw cocktails transformed into works of art. Starting with the blank CANVAS, a 100% recyclable Bombay Sapphire cup, consumers explored a range of special sensory experiences, all designed to unleash their creative potential. Kicking off the experience was the Paint Station, where consumers were able to apply edible paint to their cup. They were then invited to choose a measure of Bombay Sapphire at the imaGINation station, with a bespoke art installation from Dublin artist Anna Doran. Bartenders were on hand to guide consumers to a DIY tonic wall and advise on a selection of three tonics. They then arrived at our garnish garden, filled with live plants and fresh garnishes for consumers to hand-pick from, with our gardener available to help out & teach consumers which garnish to pair with their creations. Consumers were able to use spray mist to add a final touch of flavour before capturing their masterpiece on a photography plinth. The Bombay Sapphire CANVAS area also featured Sapphire Studios, where festival goers could create their own soundtrack on our Mash Machine. A creative menu of Bombay Sapphire cocktails devised by leading bartenders in Ireland was also available at the CANVAS bar. At CANVAS, mixology collided with art to Stir Creativity. Creativity is within us all. Sometimes it just needs a little stir to be untapped. As Head of Creative, I designed a consumer journey & oversaw design & implementation of structural build and collateral elements to ensure brand guidelines were adhered to and that the brand experience leaves a lasting impression on festival goers by encouraging them to #StirCreativity I also documented the event on-site, producing photography & a case study video.
