Embodyment

  • Ummad Ahmed
"Embodyment" is the name of the brand i developed for my final year project at university. I designed the brand to look at and address ways to create a memorable marketing campaign which is unique and peaks interest. I decided to have the brand focus on offering a bespoke a situated engagement experience  to clients based on their needs.
Due to this, I chose upon a fictional client. My client for this project was MARVEL, seeing as how at the time they were about to release their new Avengers movie. What I decided to create for marvel can be seen as a virtual dressing room of sorts. The idea was to allow immediate interaction with the product in a public place. So using the Kinect to track body positions, I used this to augment the different characters from the movie onto the users. To adda  bit of customisation to it, features allowing users to change characters, powers and scenes were added.
Unique experiences always seem to be talked about and this product would be a great way for Marvel to get the word out for their movie.
Below you can see the first test of the working prototype in action, it still needs to be refined, progress would be made in the future.

Client (MARVEL) Poster

The "client poster" would be used for the client to promote the end product. As mentioned earlier, Marvel is my fictional client. At the time, Avengers Infinity War was about to release hence why I chose them as my client. The poster below showcases one of the selectable characters from the end product.  The idea was to have a series of posters each showcasing the same information, however, visually they would be in the style of the different characters from the movie. For example, below we have Iron Man, he' is characterised by his advanced tech and holograms in his lab, hence why the visuals on the poster have been designed in a way that represents that. If it were Spiderman, seeing as he is still a child, the visuals would have been more vibrant and modern etc.  Other poster designs will be coming soon.
