As voice assisted platforms become more pervasive in our every day lives, technology companies are continuing to gender the tech to make us more comfortable adopting and using it. But this is reproducing gender stereotypes that many have fought hard to progress - such as females being reduced to ‘assistants’ because the voice is more passive and compliant, and male voices being more direct and authoritative.
More so, many states and countries are changing legal records in an effort to recognise those who are non-binary.

Q was created as a next step toward ending gender bias and fostering more inclusivity in voice technology, with the hope that consumers and major tech companies will recognize this issue and acknowledge Q as a potential solution.
