I.Robot

I.ROBOT is a multi-faceted project that allows users to remote control a robotic arm, creating unique animated content in realtime via a web experience and an AR app. The campaign begins with a teaser video, luring the user in and hinting at the content they could create themselves. The video would hit digital billboards and tv screens across major cities. Following this is the simultaneous release of the website and the AR app. The online project focuses on the ability to remotely control the robotic arm, with the addition of a live stream to show your chosen animation being played out. The AR will simply allow you to draw with light in 3D space. Playful and simple. A warehouse space will be setup with the robotic arm and camera sitting on parallel tracks. Each frame is captured as the robotic arm and camera move along the tracks in sync. These images are strung together automatically by a computer to create the animation. A pixel rod would be used to add complexity to the content, each LED along it being individually controllable. The 3D animations will be pre-programmed into the system, users will be able to add their name at the end. The animation will be processed and delivered on screen in a webplayer, with the ability to share on multiple social channels.
