Wealth hogging is a Global problem. Today, rich countries are 80 x wealthier than poor countries. Annually, wealthy countries send approximately $130,000,000,000 in aid to poorer countries. So why is the gap still growing? This project aimed to simplify data on wealth hogging and the growing gap between classes with the intention of educating/informing as well as exploring the possible answers to the above question. The trickle-down effect // 01 The black triangles represent the approximate % of disposable income of the wealthy that they don’t spend. ( 70% ) This means only 30% of that could even possibly make it down the chain of wealth. A very big gap // 02 The larger triangle represents the 91.3% hourly compensation given to the average working-class person in the 70s. The smaller triangle represents the 11.1% hourly compensation that the working class currently receives. Wealth of the world // 03 The rectangle represents the $2,000,000,000,000 (two trillion) that the richest half of the world receives annually from the poorest half of the world. The triangle in the corner represents the $130,000,000 that the poorest half of the world receive annually from the wealthiest half of the world
