Beyond Sahara
Mix & Muddle ventured into the Sahara Desert to set up a cocktail bar for the inaugural Beyond Sahara Festival. 200 revelers arrived on camels into camp for 3 days of music, yoga, and cocktails galore. See more about 2017: http://takemebeyond.co.uk/sahara/
Not only were the logistics a mountain to climb, but it took 10hours to drive to the camp location through the Atlas Mountains. We partnered with a nearby hotel to provide us with ice and perishables, then built the bar from pallets and Moroccan fabrics provided to us by locals. Next year, the numbers are increasing to 500 guests...
The quality of the cocktails wasn't spared purely because of the location. Our most popular was our signature cocktail seen above: A Punch in the Desert:
