Translating the brand concept to a Flexible Visual Identity System
We focus on creating a brand that transmits the ideal balance between "home" and "away", the adventurous travel spirit but the cosiness that a home gives you. We spent some weeks knowing better our users and developing different visual ways to represent it.
After a lot of work, we finally went for a neo-vintage aesthetic and developed a flexible visual identity -based on a code system, form on colours and icons (that easily can be converted into city patterns)-, to allow the brand to liquidity adapt to different countries, formats and people.
The fix elements (logo, primary colours, photography) transmited Hostmaker international hospitality expertise, while the variable elements (secondary colours and icons/patterns) make the local discovery feeling.
We match Recoleta, a new take on old-style serif font, with a timeless blue marine and a cream white, adding vibrancy with our funky colour palette and discovery with local icons that discover local jewels and traditions.
